2019 European Baseball Championship schedule revealed for Team Italy

The European Baseball Championship takes place in Bonn/Solingen, Germany from September 7-15, 2019. Team Italy has been placed in Group B with Spain, Belgium, France, Croatia, and Austria. The Azzurri baseball squad kicks off opening day action in Bonn on Saturday, September 7 with a 3 pm game against France.

Team Italy travels to nearby Solingen on Sunday, September 8 at 4 pm for a clash against Croatia. The Italians return to Bonn to play against Austria on Monday, September 9 at 11 am, Spain on Tuesday, September 10 at 3 pm, and Belgium on Wednesday, September 11 at 11 am.

Should the Azzurri prevail as the winner of Group B, then Team Italy will remain in Bonn and face the Group A fourth-place finisher in the quarterfinals on Friday, September 13 at 11 am. Another victory for Team Italy will advance the squad to the semifinals on Saturday, September 14 with a game scheduled at 7 pm.

The European Baseball Championship final will take place on Sunday, September 15 at 7 pm with the battle for the bronze immediately preceding the championship game at 3 pm. The top five finishers of the 2019 European Baseball Championship will qualify for the Europe/Africa Baseball Olympic Qualifier in Bologna and Parma from September 18-22, 2019 to determine which country will be on the #RoadtoTokyo in 2020.
