In a video conference moderated by Federazione Italiana Baseball Softball (FIBS) President Andrea Marcon on June 22, 2020, team officlals from the 10 Italian Serie A1 softball clubs as well as FIBS Federal Councilors and COG President Andreino Parentini discussed the upcoming season. FIBS President Andrea Marcon opened the meeting with the announcement that no more than 200 fans will be allowed to attend Serie A1 regular season games. In addtion, it was announced that the Italian Serie A1 Softball Series is scheduled to take place in early October.
COG President Andreino Parentini informed team officials that make-up games due to rain can only be rescheduled on Sundays only if requested by both teams and deemed necessary for playoff purposes. Regular season Serie A1 softball games are scheduled to start on July 11, 2020. The playoffs begin on September 12, 2020 and continue through Italian Serie A1 Softball Series in October.
