Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the has made the decision to cancel all fast pitch Euro Cup competitions in 2020. Bollate, host and winner of the 2019 Women's European Premiere Cup, will once again compete in the 2021 edition of the tournament as the defending champion. Forli, winner of last year's Women's European Cup Winners Cup in Prague, Czech Republic, will automatically return to the international competition to defend the championship throne in 2021.

European Softball Federation president Gabriel Waage assured that host venues of the canceled 2020 ESF Cup competitions have the right to host the 2021 events, while the ranking and the same number of spots available for each country remain in place from the last season played. Federations have until December 31, 2020 to submit their respective softball club team representatives in the 2021 ESF Cups. Forza #Italia
