Sestese leads group B of the Italian Softball League (ISL) after sweeping Staranzano in a 5 hour Sunday marathon. Once again Monica Perry impressed in game 2, both as a pitcher (she struck out 15) and as a hitter (she tripled and scored the go ahead run)
They tied the Bologna Blue Girls, after they split the Saturday double header in Bussolengo.
After delaying their opening day, Bollate and La Loggia (2 of the favorites in group A) made their debut in the 2016 campaign sweeping Nuoro and Caronno. Team Italy's ace Greta Cecchetti outduelled Nuoro's import pitcher Jolene Henderson.
