UnipolSai Bologna made it 19 consecutive wins on Thursday evening after they were able to easily dispose of T&A San Marino by the final of 11 to 1. San Marino actually got on the board first in this one thanks to a solo shot off the bat of Carlos Duran in tho top of inning number one off of Marquis Fleming, however that would be all that they would be able to muster off the American righty as he would settle down to go 6 innings where he allowed 8 hits,1 run, 2 walks all while sitting down 8 via the strikeout. At the plate Bologna was able to bang out 14 hits off of Rodney Rodriguez (L, 3.1 IP, 8 H, 5 R, 1 BB, 2 SO), Morreale (1.2 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 1 BB) and Ercolani (1.1 IP, 2 H, 3 R, 2 BB), with Paolino Ambrosino impressing the most with his 3 for 3 performance, where he drove in 3 runs and scored three runs… with a long ball to his name. This three game set will continue tonight in San Marino with a start time of 9:00 pm local time.

The Rimini Pirates got back into the wins column thanks to the superb pitching performances by Candelario, Escalona and Moreno to go along with a timely two bagger in the 7th off the bat of Olmedo that drove in Di Fabio for the 1-0 lead and eventual winning run. Picking up the win in relief of Candelario was the southpaw Escalona, while it was Victor Moreno who picked up the save with his 1.1 innings of work between the 8th and 9th. Suffering the loss for Padova was Gonzalez as his club now sits at 0 and 4 in the semifinal round robin round while Rimini improved to a 2 and 2 mark. This three game set will continue tonight in Padova with a scheduled start time of 9:00 pm.
