CON6 2021 welcomes to the virtual stage Mauro Mazzotti, one of the most successful coaches in the recent history of Italian and European baseball. Current general manager of San Marino Baseball and the only manager in history to win Italian Baseball Championship titles with three different club teams: Rimini (1999), Fortitudo Bologna (2003 and 2005) and Grosseto (2007), Mauro Mazzotti has also served as manager for the Spanish and Greek national teams. In addition, he has worked as an international scout for various Major League Baseball franchises. Mauro Mazzotti will present three exciting lectures at CON6 2021: Team Building on March 17, Development of the Technical Structure on March 19, and Leadership on March 20.
CON6 2021 also welcomes René Saggiadi, veteran European scouting manager for the Boston Red Sox. Having previously presented at the Italian Coaches Convention on such subjects as sabermetrics in 2014, framing in 2015, the search for talent in 2016, and the defensive shift in 2017, René Saggiadi will be one of the main attractions at CON6 2021 with the following online sessions: Athleticism in Baseball Part 1 on March 18, Athleticism in Baseball Part 2-The Pitcher on March 19, and Athleticism in Baseball Part 3-The Position Player on March 20.
CON6 2021 features CONI Institute of Sports Science collaborator Andrea Cardone, who will deliver two presentations: Talent, Training Conduction Style and Learning in Youth Sector on March 19 and Planning, Organization and Anyalysis of the Training Process on March 20. and will be well represented at CON6 2021. Team Italy Baseball5 manager Maurizio Balla, who led the inaugural Italian squad to a respectable fourth place finish at the 2020 Baseball5 European Championship, will present Teaching Baseball5 through a Learning Progression on March 18. Stefano Malaguti will deliver two lectures: Introduction to Teaching Baseball for the Blind (BXC) on March 16 and Fielding & Hitting in BXC on March 17.
