Just two years after their last Coppa Italia, Forli returned to the top winning their eighth Coppa Italia for softball.
In the first semi-final, Collecchio topped Thunders Castellana 4-1 to face Forli in the final after they topped Saronno 4-3. Emily Vincent would strikeout 17 to push Forli to the championship game by the slimmest of margins.
Zanotti faced off against Ablondi in the final, with Forli taking a 1-0 lead in the first, and each team leaving the bases loaded as that score stood until the fifth inning when Forli scored three times for the 4-0 final score, despite Collecchio loading the bases again in the sixth inning.
