Galeotti was strong once again for Godo, as he picked up the win for his club, surprising Rimini on Saturday evening with a strong 6 innings pitched. Galeotti’s performance was backed up by an impressive two long balls off the bat Sanchez, with a two run shot in the first and a solo homer in the 7th. Suffering the loss for Rimini was Bertolini.
Padova came up with yet another huge sweep on Saturday evening, pushing their record to a 10 and 4 mark on the season, and in a tie with Rimini for the top spot in the league. Saturday’s win came at the hands of Nettuno2 by the final of 5 to 4. Picking up the win for Padova was Enrico Crepaldi with a 5.1 innings of work on the bump. Nettuno2 picked up 2 runs in the top of the 9th to pull to within a run, however Bazzarini was able to hang onto record the last out of the inning to bring home the “W”.
Bologna came up with a huge victory down in Rome over Nettuno on Saturday evening on the back of a strong De Santis. The final in this one was 9 to 4 with 5 of the 9 runs coming in the 4th off of Murari and Ularetti. The win puts Bologna at a 9 and 5 mark in 2015, a game back of both Rimini and Padova.
San Marino had an easier go at it with Parma on Saturday evening with the 9-5 victory. The series sweep was a big one for T&A especially seeing as they were swept themselves just a week ago against Padova. San Marino now sits at an 8 and 6 mark on the season. Earning the win for San Marino was Oberto, while it was Spada who suffered the loss for Parma.
