The backstop, Jairo Marquez, has officially been picked up by Novara for their 2016 Italian Baseball League campaign. Marquez first appeared in Italy back in 2013 with Reggio Emilia where he hit .295 with the club in addition to his .970 fielding percentage behind the dish. In 2014 Marquez found himself in the Austrian league with the Diving Ducks of Vienna, while just this past season he wore Redipuglia’s uniform in the Italian Series A league.
