IBL: The Italian Cup sees two series spits

In the first week of the Italian Baseball League’s Italian Cup all teams walk away with a win apiece

In the first week of the Italian Baseball League’s Italian Cup all teams walk away with a win apiece. 

Down in Rome it was Nettuno that walked away with a victory in game one of the of their two game set with Nettuno2 on Saturday afternoon with the 5 to 2 win, while in game two of this two game set it was Nettuno2 who came out victorious as they were able to cross 13 runs to Nettuno’s 3. 

   

In Godo it was Parma who slipped past the Godo Knights in game one of two on Saturday with the extra inning 2 to 1 victory. Picking up the win for Parma was Garbella, while suffering the loss for Godo was Riberio. In game two it was the Knights that secured the 1-0 victory and the series split  on the backs of Galeotti, Loardi, Casalini, and Bassani… with Galeotti earning the victory while the save went to Bassani. 

   

Next weekend (Saturday the 25th) it will be the Parma vs. Nettuno in Rome, while Nettuno2 will be traveling up to Godo to take on the Knights.
