Under the guidance of Azzurri coaches Gianguido Poma and Michele Gerali in association with Steel Sports, four young and talented Team Italy U16 prospects experience the baseball trip of a lifetime at Rowan University in New Jersey

Four Azzurri prospects, all position players born in 2008, departed Rome’s Fiumicino Airport on Monday, July 29th, accompanied by Italian Development Coordinator Gianguido Poma and the Team Italy coach Michele Gerali to compete alongside American U16 players in the Steel Sports Baseball Camp at Rowan University in New Jersey

Steel Sports, official partner of Federazione Italiana Baseball Softball, welcomed Andrea Destro (Rovigo BSC shortstop and pitcher), Alessandro Garavaglia (Milano 1946 third baseman and catcher), Federico Tamburini (San Lazzaro '90 second baseman and shortstop) and Raffaele Geminiani (Godo/CRAL Mattei Ravenna outfielder and catcher) to the Rowan University diamond for a week-long baseball camp. The promising Italians will train and play games, totally immersing themselves in the environment and in Tommy Lasorda's 'Kids First' methodology promoted and applied by Steel Sports.
