Team Italy kicked off the U15 European Softball Championship with a bang on Monday, July 1, 2024 when dominating Croatia 10-0. A perfect game performance from starter Sabrina Bottazzi (3.1 IP, 8K) and reliever Emma Obino (.2 IP, 2 K) coupled with strong offensive production from leadoff hitter Giorgia Colina (2-for-2, 2 R, RBI), Alessandra Meta (triple, 3 RBI), Beatrice Guarnieri (double, R, RBI) and Blue Berto (1-for-1, BB, 2 R) put the contest away early in a four-inning mercy-rule shutout.

Starting pitcher Emma Obino (4.1 IP, 2 K, 2BB) and closer Sabrina Bottazzi (.2 IP, 2K) no-hit the Dutch in a five-inning mercy-rule game. The Team Italy offense was led by Giulia Calozari (3-for-3, triple, BB, 2 R, 3 RBI), Alida Campioni (3-for-3, triple, HR, R, 4 RBI), Beatrice Guarnieri (2-for-3, 2R), Caterina Turci (2-for-3, 2 R, RBI), Blue Berto (1-for-1, BB, 2 R), Cloe Guzzon (1-for-1, RBI) and Agatha Boraso (1-for-1, double).
