Italy fell to the USA at the Italian Softball Week tournament by the final of 7 to 1 on Thursday evening. The Italian now drop to 0-1 on the tournament while the USA improved their record to 2-0. Suffering the loss for the Italians was Greta Cecchetti even though she allowed just a single run in the top of the 2nd inning. The Americans blew the game out of reach in the top of the 3rd with a five run frame that was topped off by a grand slam off the bat of Fox. The Italians will now take on Australia today, followed up by both the US and Australia again on Saturday.
