In a game that saw 28 runs scored off of 32 hits, 14 walks, 6 hit batters and 6 error, it was Nettuno who eventually came out with the 19 to 9 victory over the Godo Knights down in Rome. The game was the first of three makeup games that are very important for both clubs playoff pushes. The win bettered Nettuno’s overall record to 9 and 9 on the season, just a single game back of T&A San Marino for the 4th and final playoff spot. The loss suffered by the Godo Knights dropped them to 7 and 11 on the season, 3 games back with just 8 games to go.
At the plate for Nettuno, both Retrosi and Giuseppe Sellaroli had 4 hits apiece, while Andrea Sellaroli was able to bang out 3. Giuseppe Sellaroli also drove in 4 runs, while both Imperali and Andrea Sellaroli both drove in 3.
This series round of makeup games will continue this weekend in Godo with a double-dip on Saturday the 6th.
