By squeaking out a 2-1 victory over UnipolSai Bologna on June 9, 2018, A.S.D. Rimini has earned the right to take on European Cup Champion Curacao Neptunus tomorrow at 2 pm (EST) for the Euro title in the final game of the five-day international competition in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Getting by Italian powerhouse Bologna, who lost a 5-4 heartbreaker to Curacao Neptunus just a day earlier, was not an easy task. A.S.D. Rimini starter Raul Ruiz was ready for the challenge as he pitched eight nearly flawless innings (no earned runs, six hits, one walk and six strikeouts) against UnipolSai Bologna. In the bottom of the second inning, Rimini sparkplug and shortstop Oscar Angulo led off with a base hit up the middle. He later scored on an RBI single from Luis Ustariz to give Rimini an early 1-0 lead. Bologna tied the game up 1-1 in the top of the fifth inning when Alessandro Vaglio reached first base on an infield error and later came home on an RBI single by Filippo Agretti.  Rimini regained the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning when Federico Celli led off with a double and scored on an RBI single from Nathanael Batista. With the 2-1 win over UnipolSai Bologna, A.S.D. Rimini (3-1) is now the lone Italian representive eligible for the crown title in the Euro Champions Cup final against Curacao Neptunus (4-0) on June 10, 2018. UnipolSai Bologna (2-2) battles for third place honors against France's Rouen Huskies (2-2) at 7 am (EST). Catch all the live play-by-play action by clicking .

T&A San Marino (1-3) was unlucky in their 6-5 loss to Germany's Heidenheim Heidekoepfe (2-2) Despite an outstanding pitching performance from Italian baseball patriarch Alessandro Maestri (seven innings, one run, one hit, five walks, and ten strikeouts), San Marino could not hold on to a 4-1 advantage going into the eighth inning. Outfielder Thomas De Wolf led the T&A San Marino offense going 2-for-3 (one home run, two walks, three runs scored, and one RBI). Lorenzo Avagnina also went 2-for-3 (one double, two walks, and one RBI). T&A San Marino competes against L&D Amsterdam (1-3) for seventh place at 5 am (EST).
