Saturday evening in the Italian Baseball League will be the decisive one in deciding the second Italian Baseball Series contestant

Saturday evening in the Italian Baseball League will be the decisive one in deciding the second Italian Baseball Series contestant. With the Rimini Pirates still hanging onto a one game lead over T&A San Marino both teams will be in search of a win come this evening. If the Pirates win then they are in, if T&A wins they will have to hold hope of a Rimini loss.

Rimini was able to remain one game up on T&A San Marino after they picked up a huge 7 to 1 victory over UnipolSai Bologna on Friday evening in Bologna. Picking up the win for the Pirates was Enorbel Marquez who went 6 strong innings on the bump, giving up just a single run on a solo shot off the bat of Liverziani in the 4th. Suffering the loss for Bologna was Luca Panerati, as he got shelled for 5 runs off of 7 hits and 3 walks in just 3 innings of relief out of the pen. For Rimini, the trio of Zileri, Salazar and Mazzanti all picked up three hits apiece.

T&A San Marino kept the pressure on the Rimini Pirates when they were able to walk away with a close 3 to 1 victory over Lino’s Coffee Parma in Parma on Friday night. The win was picked up by Teran while the save went to Cubillan with his impressive 3.2 innings of work out of the pen. In the box for T&A it was Mazzuca that impressed the most with two doubles, of which produced a run and an RBI. Francesco Imperiali also drove in 2 for T&A. This series will concluded this evening in Parma, with a game time scheduled for 9:00 pm.
