Prior to the start of the Federal Council meeting on June 25, 2020, Federazione Italiana Baseball Softball (FIBS) President Andrea Marcon paid tribute to the late and great Nicola Vincenti, who was a founding member of . Coincidently, the Protocol for the Baseball for the Blind Championship Series in September was approved by the FIBS Federal Councilors.

FIBS President Andrea Marcon also announced that he met and submitted a business proposal to Federal Sport and Health President Vito Cozzoli in hopes that the upcoming baseball and softball schedule will be included in the Italian National Sport and Health calendar. After approving the minutes from the previous Federal Council meeting on June 12, 2020, the discussion centered around the recent withdrawl of Serie A1 baseball teams Rangers Redipuglia, Nettuno Baseball City, and Grizzlies Torino from the upcoming season. As a result, a total of seven squads are scheduled to compete in Serie A1 baseball in 2020.

In unrelated news, FIBS President Andrea Marcon proposed that Italy make a bid to present the 2021 European Baseball Championship since Spain has declined the invitation to host the international competition. The Federal Councilors unanimously appoved the motion. Forza #Italia!
