Things stay the say the same in the Italian Baseball League’s third to last game in the semifinals round after both T&A San Marino and the Rimini Pirates both win their games on Thursday evening.

T&A San Marino took game one of their three game set with Lino’s Coffee Parma in Parma on Thursday evening by the final of 5-0. The win was a big one for San Marino as it allowed them to keep pace with the Rimini Pirates after they walked away winners over Bologna by the final of 1-0. For San Marino it was Guerra that went 8 for the win before handing the ball over to Cubillan for a perfect 9th. In the box for T&A the trio of Avagnina (3 for 5 with 2 runs), Pantaleoni (4 for 5, with 2 runs, and 2 RBI’s) and Ramos (2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s) led the way with the stick. Game two will get underway tonight in Parma at 9:00 pm.

The Rimini Pirates did their job in game one of three with Bologna when they walked away with the 1-0 victory on the back of Gonzalez. The win keeps them one game up on T&A San Marino in the standings with only two games to go. Suffering the tough loss for Bologna was Williamson in an effort that took him into the 5th. The games only run came in the 1st when Salazar singled to first base, driving in Santora from third. This three game set will continue tonight in Bologna at 9:00 pm.
