T&A San Marino becomes the 4th and final club to secure a postseason spot

T&A San Marino had no problem on Friday evening getting by Parma, as they took the game by the final of 10-0 on the backs of Rodney Rodriguez on the bump and Vasquez who had a huge day at the plate going 4 for 5 with 3 RBI’s, of which included a first inning long off the bat of Acosta… setting the tone of the game

T&A San Marino had no problem on Friday evening getting by Parma, as they took the game by the final of 10-0 on the backs of Rodney Rodriguez on the bump and Vasquez who had a huge day at the plate going 4 for 5 with 3 RBI’s, of which included a first inning long off the bat of Acosta… setting the tone of the game. San Marino banged out a total of 15 hits in this one, absolutely dominating Parma’s foreign mound. The loss is suffered by Parma is an historic one, making the first in their history that they will finish the regular season in last place. This two game set will conclude tonight in San Marino at 8:30 pm.

     

UnipolSai Bologna had no problems what so ever disposing of Nettuno on Friday evening in Bologna. This game went by the final of 11 to 1, with Bologna scoring all 11 runs between the 2nd through the 6th… of which included a 4 run 3rd and 4th. Picking up the win with a solid five innings of work was Fleming (5 ip, 3 h, 0 r, 5 so), while the loss on Nettuno’s side was suffered by Ularetti. At the plate Bologna’s 2 through 6 in the lineup all score 2 runs apiece, while both Suarez and Fuzzi picked up two hits each, an Guillermo Rodriguez drove in a total of 3 runs. This two game set will conclude tonight in Bologna with a game time of 8:30 pm. 

   

The Rimini Pirates got past the Godo Knights in Godo on Friday evening by the final of 5 to 3. It was Rimini’s 18th win in the regalar season. All of Rimini’s runs came in the 1st and 2nd frames in this one, with 2 crossing the plate in the 1st and 3 in the second off of Uviedo. Rimini’s offense went silent in the third through the end of the game, as their final tally of eight hits all came in the 1st and 2nd as well. The Knights made it a game in the 8th after Bucchi got to Victor Moreno for a 2 run shot, making it a 2 run game. However that would be it as Moreno was able to close out the rest of the 8th, and come on to finish the game up with a 1-2-3 9th. Picking up the win for the Pirates was Escalona, while the loss was suffered by Uviedo. This two game set will conclude tonight in Rimini at 8:30 pm. 

Finally down in Rome it was Nettuno2 that got past Tommasin Padova by the final of 5 to 4. Picking up the win for Nettuno2 was Noberto Gonzalez, while suffering the loss for Padova out of the pen was Michele Meschini. Nettuno2 scored 1 in the 1st and 2 in both the 2nd and 3rd off of just 5 total hits, 8 walks (7 given up by Meschini) and 4 errors surrounded by Padova’s defense. This two game set will continue tonight in Rome with the game scheduled to get underway at 8:30 pm.
