Team Italy and Milwaukee Brewers pitching prospect Michele Vassalotti receives second Player of the Game honors in Australian Baseball League

After striking out four highly-prized MLB prospects on the Adelaide Giants in two innings of work and being named Brisbane Bandits Player of the Game five days ago, starting pitcher Michele Vassalotti was as dominant as ever against the Perth Heat at Adelaide's Dicolor Australia Stadium on January 19, 2021

After striking out four highly-prized MLB prospects on the Adelaide Giants in two innings of work and being named Brisbane Bandits Player of the Game five days ago, starting pitcher Michele Vassalotti was as dominant as ever against the Perth Heat at Adelaide's Dicolor Australia Stadium on January 19, 2021. An outstanding scoreless four-inning performance with six strikeouts by Michele Vassalotti garnered the 20-year-old hurler his second Player of the Game honors.

Pittsburgh Pirates prospect Robbie Glendinning struck out twice, while former Rocky Mountain Vibes teammates and Milwaukee Brewers prospects Alex Hall and Jess Williams,Tampa Bay Rays prospect Ford Proctor, and Australian Baseball League (ABL) all-time leading hitter (hits and runs) Tim Kennelly fell victim to the strikeout. The Brisbane Bandits eventually lost the contest 5-0. The Perth Heat evened its record to 6-6, while the Brisbane Bandits dropped to 4-8.
