Back by popular demand, Team Italy infielder Alex Liddi hopes to regain some of last year's magic for Leones de Yucatán in Liga Mexicana de Beisbol (LMB). The 31-year-old Italian-born and developed player led Leones de Yucatán to a 2019 second-half LMB Sur Division Championship with an impressive .344 batting average, 96 hits, 12 home runs, and 66 RBI in 59 games. In 14 years of professional baseball experience worldwide, Alex Liddi has recorded 1,777 hits (including 472 for extra bases), 236 home runs, and 1,054 RBI.

Alex Liddi was last seen playing for Team Italy in the 2018 Super 6 Tournament when he was a top three performer in the following offensive categories: batting average (.619--second to Chris Colabello), slugging percentage (1.450--third to Chris Colabello and Robel Garcia), on-base percentage (.680--second to Chris Colabello), runs scored (13--first), hits (13--second to Chris Colabello), RBI (8--third to Chris Colabello and Drew Maggi), doubles (3--first), triples (1--tied for first with Robel Garcia and Drew Maggi), and home runs (3--second to Chris Colabello).
