An intensive four-day baseball training camp for the Team Italy U14 and U15 squads is now underway in Staranzano (Gorizia). A total of 46 Azzurrini players are competing in a series of games beginning with a contest against Accademia del Veneto on August 18, 2020. On the following day, the Team Italy U14 and U15 squads take on a group of U18 players from the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. The baseball training camp concludes with a clash between the two Azzurrini teams. The Team Italy U14 squad is under the supervision of coaches Mario Benetti, Raffaele Gentili, Luca Costa, and pitching coach Lucio Taschin. They are supported by athletic trainer Daniele Santolupo and physiotherapist Deborah Borgatti. The Team Italy U15 squad is led manager Roberto De Franceschi, pitching coach Luca Martignoni, and coaches Claudio Corradi, Alberto Furlani, Leonardo Mazzanti, and Mario Mascitelli. Physiotherapist Graziano Abbate and delegation manager Alessandro Cappuccini complete the U15 staff.
