Team Italy U19 women's softball hopefuls audition for Azzurre squad with 4-2 win over Caronno

The starting lineup looked like this: Susanna Soldi in center field, Fadwa Ben Karim in right field, Elisa Princic as catcher, Sara Cianfriglia at third base, Silvia Torre at first base, Arianna Nicolini at shortstop, Silvia Gerbella in left field, Tara Melassi as designated player, and Elena Slawitz at second base. Team Italy skipper Enrico Obletter called on the pitching trio of Chiara Rusconi, Maya Milano, and Chiara Marazzi to secure the win.

Manager Enrico Obletter will now have to make some difficult decisions to finalize his roster for the highly-competitive WBSC U19 Softball World Cup, which takes place in Irvine, California from August 11-17, 2019. Forza #Italia! #LetsMakeItHappen
