Team Italy women's softball squad reunites in Rome and Pescara from January 21-30, 2021

In preparation for the upcoming Olympics in Tokyo, the Team Italy women's softball squad comes together for three days at the Giulio Onesti Olympic Training Center in Rome, where the athletes will undergo a series of physical tests administered by the sports science department

In preparation for the upcoming Olympics in Tokyo, the Team Italy women's softball squad comes together for three days at the Giulio Onesti Olympic Training Center in Rome, where the athletes will undergo a series of physical tests administered by the sports science department. Then the Azzurre softball team and staff will travel to Pescara, where the 22 players selected by Team Italy manager Enrico Obletter will train from January 24-30, 2021.

The following athletes are expected to participate: Valeria Bettinsoli, OF; Laura Bigatton, P/OF; Priscilla Brandi, IF; Ilaria Cacciamani, P; Greta Cecchetti, P; Lara Cecchetti, IF; Marta Chiodaroli, IF; Veronica Comar, P; Sofia Fabbian, OF; Marta Gasparotto, C/IF; Noemi Giacometti, OF; Giulia Longhi, IF; Virginia Mambelli, OF; Fabrizia Marrone, OF; Alice Nicolini, P; Erika Piancastelli, C/OF; Beatrice Ricchi, OF; Alessandra Rotondo, IF; Carlotta Salis, P; Melany Sheldon, IF; Silvia Torre, IF; and Laura Vigna, OF.

Team Italy manager Enrico Obletter will be assisted by coaches Federico Pizzolini, Giovanna Palermi, and Julio La Rosa Zequeira. Reinforcement will be provided by physiotherapists Elio Paolini and Ulisse Hernandez as well as team physican Gaetano Schiavottiello and delegation manager Claudia Venturini. Forza #Italia!
