With more then 4250 votes cast over the past couple of weeks, the final tallies are in for those that have been selected to start the 2014 All Star Game down in Nettuno, Italy on the 11th of July in a matchup with the Italian National team

With more then 4250 votes cast over the past couple of weeks, the final tallies are in for those that have been selected to start the 2014 All Star Game down in Nettuno, Italy on the 11th of July in a matchup with the Italian National team. The fans were able to vote on all the position players plus the DH that will start this years event, while the rest of the team will be made up by the All Star Team’s manager, Doriano Bindi (T&A San Marino’s manager), of which will included 9 pitchers and 8 reserves.

Voted in as the starting catcher with 37% was Simone Albanese (San Marino), finishing ahead of Osman Marval who picked up 26% of the vote. Andrea Castrì from Nettuno will get the start at first base with 51% of the vote. At second it will be Francesco Imperiali (San Marino), who edged out Alessandro Vaglio (Bologna) 39% to 38%. At the hot corner it will be Nelwin Sforza (Nettuno) who accumulated 34% of the vote, while at short Wuillians Vasquez (23% San Marino) will take the place of Carlos Infante 44% of the vote, Bologna) and Erik Epifano (26% Padova) who will both be suiting up for team Italy. In the outfield it will be Tommasin Padova’s Nick Nosti (20%) and Raffaele Medoro (18%), as well as Bologna’s Claudio Liverziani (7%), who finished 5 votes ahead of San Marino’s Carlos Duran. Finally getting the start as the DH will be Gianluca Cibati who picked up 31% of the fan vote.
