The Italian Baseball League will officially kick off on the 8th of April, 2016 with games between Padova vs. Nettuno2 and Rimini vs. Parma in Division A, while in Division B it will be Novara vs. San Marino and the Nettuno vs. Bologna. The first round of the IBL will consist of a home-away series within the division, as well as four inter league series with the opposing division, all of which will come to a conclusion come the 18th of June. The first round of the IBL will be followed by the All Star Weekend, and then the semifinal robin round that will feature the top four clubs out of the first round of play.
