The President of the WBSC (World Baseball Softball Confederation) will be meeting with a committee of organizers responsible for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Present at the meeting will be the 8 Federations on the short list of possible added events at the 2020 Games in Tokyo, Japan… World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) World Bowling (WB), World Karate Federation (WKF), International Rollers Sports Federation (FIRS), International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC), World Squash Federation (WSF), International Surfing Association (ISA), International Wushu Federation (IWUF).
This encounter will be the last of sorts before a decision will be made by the Tokyo panel in September. Once a discipline has been selected by the Tokyo panel it will then go through a process with the IOC (International Olympic Commette) before being officially announced next year after the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro at the 129 IOC Session.
