The announced the cancellation of the U15 Women's European Softball Championship due to the coronavirus pandemic. The U15 Euro Championship was originally scheduled to be played from July 13-18, 2020 in Enschede, the Netherlands before being postponed until the the last week of August. Now the U15 Women's European Softball Championship will be pushed back to 2022. The Dutch have the first right of refusal to host the international competition.
ESF President Gabriel Waage said, "I am sorry for having to send this kind of information. The U15 Women's European Championship is a key event for the ESF, being the chance for many girls to represent their countries for the first time. A few of the countries asked me if there is a possibility to organize an unofficial U15 Women’s Tournament, after the pandemic. We will check and see if that is possible and if there are enough teams who are interested in this unofficial event." Forza #Italia!
