In San Marino it was Claudio Liverziani that kept his stick hot when he knocked out his second homer in two games and his 101st of his IBL Career in the 12-2 Bologna victory. In Parma the Rimini Pirates were able to hang on once again for the win, which now gives them a two game lead over T&A San Marino for the second spot in the IBL.

Fortitudo Bologna completed a three game sweep of T&A San Marino on Saturday evening in San Marino with a decisive 12 to 2 victory. The game was never once in question after the second inning of play when Bologna picked up their first three runs of the game on their way to the rout. Picking up his 101st career homer just a day after knocking out his 100th career long ball was Liverziani. With the sweep Bologna is now sitting pretty with a two game lead over Rimini and a four game lead over San Marino with only six games left on the schedule.

Lino’s Coffee Parma fell once again by a margin of only a single run, as the ball kept on bouncing Rimini’s way once again on Saturday evening as the Pirates picked up the victory by the final of 5 to 4 over Parma, which now means that they have a two game lead on T&A San Marino for that second and final Italian Baseball Series spot. Picking up the win for Rimini was Sandy Patrone with his 4.1 innings of relief out of the pen, Del Bianco and Torres also threw well for the Pirates. Suffering the loss was Yomel Rivera for Parma.
