UnipolSai Bologna earned the first assured Italian Baseball League Finals bid after they came out on top of Lino’s Coffee Parma by the final of 4 to 2 in Parma on Friday evening. With Parma suffering the loss they are now the first club to be officially eliminated from the postseason, however they do so with their heads held high having put up a fight as the so called underdog throughout this semifinals round. Picking up the win for Bologna was Panerati, while the save went to the always solid Filippo Crepaldi. Suffering the loss for Parma was Giovanelli. With the stick it was the trio of Rodriguez, Vaglio and Sabbatani that did most of the damage, as they all picked up two hits a piece.
