Just a evening removed from Padova’s big win over UnipolSai Bologna, it was Bologna who returned the favor on Friday evening with a huge 14 to 3 victory on the back of Ricardo De Santis. De Santis picked up the win in this one, going 6 strong where he allowed 3 runs off of 6 hits and 2 walks before handing the ball off to Crepaldi who was perfect in his only inning pitched (shortened 7 run game), sitting down all 3 batters faced via the K. At the dish for Bologna it was Ambrosino, Liverziani and Sambucci who led the way with the stick, while in the leadoff spot Infante was able to reach base safely 5 times via the base on ball. Suffering the loss for Padova was Faccini, as the righty wasn't able to pitch out of the 3rd. This three game set will conclude tonight in Bologna with a scheduled start time of 9 pm.

In San Marino, it was the visiting Rimini Pirates who were able to just get past the home T&A for the second consecutive day… by the final of 3 to 1. Picking up the win on the bump for Rimini was the southpaw, Escalona, who tossed up a very impressive 6 innings of 1 run ball. Coming on for the three inning save, was the IBL right handed veteran, Roberto Corradini. Corradini literally tossed up a perfect 3 innings, allowing no runs, no hits and no walks, while facing the minimum 9 batter… and needing just 27 total pitches. Suffering the loss on San Marino’s side was Oberto, allowing 3 runs over his 6 innings of work. In the 5th it was Mazzanti (1 for 2, 2 runs score, 2 RBIs) for Rimini that topped off the games scoring with a solo shot that flew well over the left centerfield fence for the 3-1 advantage. This three game set will conclude tonight in Rimini with a scheduled start time of 9 pm.
