Team Italy slugger and Kansas City Royals minor leaguer Alex Liddi has earned the right to be cleanup hitter for first-place in during the 2018-2019 winter league season. Alex Liddi in Super 6 (K73-OldManagency)In the 18 games he has played in so far, Alex Liddi has been a solid contributor with a .323 batting average (20-for-62), five doubles, one home run, nine walks, seven RBI and eleven runs scored.

A force to be reckoned with defensively at third base, Alex Liddi is undoubtedly one of the best infielders south of the border. Destined to once again become a fan favorite on the coast of Baja California while playing for Venados de Mazatlán, Alex Liddi is in good company with the port city franchise’s reputation for outstanding pitching.

This year is no exception as starting pitcher Konner Wade, who won a 2012 NCAA championship with the University of Arizona before signing with the Colorado Rockies as a seventh-round draft pick in 2013, picked up his third victory in Mazatlán's 6-0 shutout over Mexicali on November 3, 2018. Alex Liddi came back the following day and demonstrated his raw power with a line-drive home run to left field off Mexicali starter David Reyes. It looks like the Italian stallion is back, and Alex Liddi is ready to lead Venados de Mazatlán to la Liga Mexicana del Pacifico's championship title. Forza #Italia! #LetsMakeItHappen
