After officially confirming Claudio Liverziani, Riccardo De Santis and manager Marco Nanni for 2015, Fortitudo Bologna has now officially landed Alex Sambucci to man first base as they seek to repeat their 2014 IBL title. Sambucci (Latina, Italy 1989) will be leaving Parma where he spent his first six season in the Italian Baseball League, posting a .251 average, with 48 doubles, 4 triples, 18 home runs and 154 RBI’s in just over 250 games played. Sambucci was also the Gold Glove winner back in 2011 at first base.
