Bologna and San Marino take home wins

UnipolSai Bologna got past the Rimini Pirates for the second consecutive evening on Friday, with Raul Rivero picking up the win… 5 innings pitched, 3 hits, no runs, 5 K’s

UnipolSai Bologna got past the Rimini Pirates for the second consecutive evening on Friday, with Raul Rivero picking up the win… 5 innings pitched, 3 hits, no runs, 5 K’s. Suffering the loss for Rimini was a Roberto Corradini, who surrendered just a single run off of 2 hits in his four inning outing. Doing most of the damage at the plate for Bologna was their first baseman, Alex Sambucci, who went a perfect 3 for 3 at the dish with 1 run scored and 2 RBI’s. Bologna picked up their first run of the ball game in the bottom of inning number 2 after Sambucci was able to single through the left side, plating Vaglio from 2nd for the 1-0 lead. In the bottom of the 7th Bologna concluded their scoring after they were able to pick up another three runs off of Biondi, who was able to last just .1 on the bump. This three game set will come to a conclusion tonight in Rimini with the game time set for 9 pm.  

          

In San Marino it was the home T&A that were able to pick up their second win of their two game set with Tommasin Padova. The win come in comeback fashion with San Marino being able to cross 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th after going down 3 early in the game. T&A tied the game up at 3-all in the bottom of the 7th off of Bazzarini after the righty surrendered a single to Morreale, that plated Mazzuca for the tie. In the bottom of the 9th, T&A San Marino was able to walk off Padova for the 4-3 win on an Imperali single up the middle, plating Mazzuca once again. This three game set will now come to a conclusion tonight in Padova.
