Both the Rimini Pirates and T&A San Marino tie their 3 game sets

T&A San Marino got right back on track as they exploded for the 17 to 1 win after they dropped their 15 inning affair against Tommasin Padova on Thursday evening in San Marino

T&A San Marino got right back on track as they exploded for the 17 to 1 win after they dropped their 15 inning affair against Tommasin Padova on Thursday evening in San Marino. The win allowed they to keep pace with the Rimini Pirates (a game behind) and to pick up a game on UnipolSai Bologna after they suffered the loss to Rimini on Friday by the final of 6 to 3. San Marino was able to cross 17 runs on the game, of which included long balls off the bats of Chiarini (3 for 6 with 2 runs scored and 7 RBI’s and Santora (1 for 1 with 2 runs scored and 3 RBI’s)… Duran also had an impressive game going 3 for 5 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBI’s, as did Vasquez and his 4 for 6 day at the plate. Suffering the loss for Padova was Enrico Crepaldi, while on the winning side it was Oberto that shined for San Marion going 6 innings, while giving up just a single run on 5 hits and 2 walks. This three game set will come to a conclusion this evening in San Marino (9:00 pm).

     

The Rimini Pirates were able to tie their series up with UnipolSai Bologna on Friday evening in Rimini with the 6 to 3 victory. Picking up the win for Rimini was a very strong Richetti (6 ip, 3 H, 2 R, 4 BB, 4 SO) , who pitched past the 6 inning with a no-hitter to his name. In the 7th he was relieved by Corradini (3 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 2 SO) who came on for the 3 inning save. Suffering the loss for Bologna was Riccardo De Santis who lasted just 4.2 innings on the bump for Bologna. The win allows Rimini to stay one full game up on San Marino in the standings, while pulling them to within just a single game of UnipolSai Bologna for the top spot in the league. This three game set will come to a conclusion tonight in Bologna at 9:00 pm local time.
