In an Italian Softball Series rematch from last season, Bussonengo confirmed the result and is again ISL Champion, with a closely matched series the ended in a sweep, but between rain and extra innings was closer.

Bussolengo took game 1 at home 3-1, with a strong pitching performance by Creger, and a one batter save by Waldrop.  Pitchers dominated until the fifth when Bussolengo scored three times.  After two walks to start the inning and two force outs at the plate, an error, a wild pitch, and an illegal pitch scored all three runs the defending champions would need to take the series lead.

Game 2 was suspended by rain in the 4th inning with the score 0-0 and the bases loaded, and had to be replayed. The make up game was dominated by the starting pitchers Birocci and Cacciamani, but a first inning run by Bussolengo would be all the scoring needed, when Megan Blank tripled and scored on an error on the play.

That set up the scintillating and emotional game 3, which would need extra innings to declare an Italian Champion.

Emily Vincent and Lacey Waldrop matched zeros through seven scoreless innings, sending the game to a tie break.  Bussolengo broke through immediately with a Megan Blank single and an error lead to two quick unearned runs.

In the bottom of the inning, needing two runs to keep their season alive, Forlì went one two three on two strikeouts, and a flyball to left, leaving Lacey Waldrop with the complete game shutout with thirteen strikeouts, and Bussolengo with their second straight Italian Softball Series Championship.
