Specchiasol Bussolengo got past Thermotechnick Bollate by the final of 3 to 2 on Tuesday the 15th in Bollate in game 5 of the best of 5 semifinals series. The win and series victory now matches them up with Fiorini Forlí in a best of 5 Italian Softball League Finals. Picking up the win with her complete game performance was Haylie Wagner with a line score that read; 7 innings pitched, 4 hits, 2 runs, 2 earned runs, 0 walks (1 hit batter) and 1 strikeout. On Bollate’s side of the ball it was Greta Cecchetti who suffered the loss despite her complete game performance.
The top performers at the plate for Bussolengo were Kelly Sheldon (1-3, 1 run score), Priscilla Brandi (2-4, 1 run scored), Elisa Princic (2-3, 1 run scored) and last but not least, Madison O’Brien and her perfect 3 for 3 day with 3 RBI’s.
The Italian Softball Series will get underway on the 19th, and will feature a best of 5 series between Bussolengo and Bollate.
