Defending champion UnipolSai Fortitudo Bologna hosts Godo Baseball live and direct from Stadio Gianni Falchi on in the first Italian A1 Baseball weekly livestream broadcast on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 3 pm (EDT). Expect to see some of Italy's best born and developed players as well as imports clash in the showdown in Bologna.

Favorite UnipolSai Fortitudo Bologna has won back-to-back A1 Baseball Championship titles and has added an all-star shortstop from Aruba to their strong roster. Ray-Patrick Didder, who spent seven years in the Atlanta Braves organization before signing a minor-league contract with the San Diego Padres last year, provides reinforcement to the European powerhouse club in his A1 Baseball debut this season.

A trio of Italian-born and developed players, including Chicago Cubs pitching prospect Matteo Bocchi, Oakland Athletics catching prospect Cesare Astorri, and former Team Italy U18 captain Riccardo Bertossi, give Bologna a homegrown edge over the other A1 Baseball clubs. Wednesday night's opponent, Godo Baseball, is led by 2019 Federazione Italiana Baseball Softball (FIBS) coach of the year Marco Bortolotti.
