IABF youth baseball and softball clinics are a big hit in Italy

After two successful clinics led by John Franco, Mark Cardillo and Roberto De Franceschi in Rome and Nettuno last summer, the Italian American Baseball Foundation (IABF) returns to Italy for a series of youth baseball and softball clinics from July 13-19, 2019

20181206 IABF PAGLIARULO+FRANCO (Chris Herder)After two successful clinics led by John Franco, Mark Cardillo and Roberto De Franceschi in Rome and Nettuno last summer, the Italian American Baseball Foundation (IABF) returns to Italy for a series of youth baseball and softball clinics from July 13-19, 2019. Italian baseball and softball players born between 2003 to 2012 are invited to participate in one of five free clinics designed to help young talent develop into budding stars. In addition, the IABF in association with Federazione Italiana Baseball Softball (FIBS) will hold a baseball prospect showcase in Rome on July 12, 2019 for Italian high school athletes desiring the opportunity to study and play baseball in America with the assistance of  IABF and college-sponsored scholarships. Through the year-round efforts of IABF president Joe Quagliano, vice president Carmine Gangone, secretary Mark Cardillo and Team Italy coach Frank Catalanotto, the IABF is deeply committed to recruiting qualified high school student athletes so that they may be afforded the opportunity to pursue a quality college education while playing baseball and softball.

Mark Cardillo along with former Miami Marlins hitting coach and former MLB favorite Mike Pagliarulo (New York Yankees, San Diego Padres, Minnesota Twins, Baltimore Orioles, and Texas Rangers) will host the five IABF baseball and softball clinics. Kicking off with two stops in Sicily, the first clinic is scheduled on Saturday, July 13 from 4-7 pm at Red Sox Park, Contrada Agnelleria, Ficuzza in Paternò (Catania) followed by a second clinic on Monday, July 15 from 4-7 pm at Stadio Primo Nebiolo, viale Annunziata in Messina. The dynamic duo of Mark Cardillo and Mike Pagliarulo hold their third IABF clinic on Wednesday, July 17 from 4-7 pm at Stadio Rams, via Tagete in Viterbo. The final two stops take place on Thursday, July 18 from 4-7 pm at Stadio Roberto Jannella, viale Repubblica in Grosseto and on Friday, July 19 from 4-7 pm at Stadio Pier Paolo Vita, Campo di Marte in Firenze.

Each clinic is limited to the first 50 applicants who download, complete and submit via email the required registration form (from link below) along with a certificate of medical clearance to Submissions will not be accepted after July 9, 2019.
