Angel Calero will be pitching for Padova in 2015. This 28 year old Venezuelan born southpaw will be expected to step into a starting role in the clubs foreign pitched games. Calero has experience with Sala Baganza in Series A (2012), and Novara (2013) and Godo (2014) in the IBL. His overall Italian Baseball League numbers read: 26 games played with 149.0 innings pitched, 11 wins, 5 losses, an overall 2.42 ERA with 182 K’s to 67 walks.
Calero also has some experience ‘Stateside’ in the Minors with the New York Mets organization, as well as in the Venezuelan Winter League with the Leones del Caracas.
