The Italian Baseball League will be back at it again tonight in both San Marino and Padova with T&A San Marino welcoming in UnipolSai Bologna less then a week removed from their European Champions Cup loss to Rotterdam, while up in Padova it will be game one of three between the home Tommasin Padova and the visiting Rimini Pirates. Currently Bologna is leading the pack, two games up on both San Marino and Rimini at a 7 and 2 mark, while Padova sits at the bottom having won just a single game over the first 9 of the round robin semifinals. Tonight’s RaiSport2 game of the week will feature that between San Marino and Bologna. Tomorrow night the two three game sets will shift to Bologna and Rimini, while on Saturday the action will conclude back where the weekend began in San Marino and Padova… all games have a scheduled start time of 9:00 pm.

UnipolSai Bologna will be looking to get back on track in San Marino tonight when they take on the home T&A. Going for them tonight on the bump will be the American changeup specialist, Fleming… who should be matchup up with the southpaw Rodney Rodriguez for San Marino. When the series shifts to Bologna on Friday it looks to be Riccardo De Santis who will be straddling the rubber in the top of the 1st, while in the bottom half of the frame for San Marino it should be the lefty, Oberto. In the series finale look for Rivero to take the ball for Bologna and Berg for San Marino. Both clubs look to be battling the injury bug, with Suarez and Infante both dealing with issues for Bologna, while Ermini looks to be in question for San Marino.

Up in Padova tonight it should be Quevedo for the home Tommasin, while for Rimini look for Candelario to throw up a strong performance for his club. When the series shifts to Rimini on Friday evening it looks like both Italian mounds will take centerstage, with Richetti going for the Pirates and Faccini for Tommasin Padova. In the series finale on Saturday the 15th of August in Padova it should be Lopez for Padova and Parise for Rimini. The only one in question for this weekends 3 game set is on Rimini’s side, with Macaluso battling a calf strain suffered in game three of the three game set two weeks ago against UnipolSai Bologna.
