The regular season of the Italian Softball League will come to a conclusion on by Tuesday when the final makeup games are played out. Two clubs, Rhibo La Loggia out of Division A and Bussolengo out of Division B, already find themselves in this year’s postseason, however there is without a doubt a tangled mess right behind them. In Division A Bollate is trying to hang onto that second spot with an 11 and 7 record, and to do so they are going to have to fend off the Stars of Staranzano who currently support a 10 and 8 mark. This weekend the Stars will take on the first place Rhibo girls for two games, while Bollate will head to Caronno to face off against the Rheavendors. Lastly in the division Legnano will welcome in the Banco di Sardegna Nuoro, with both clubs being very close to concluding their seasons. All games in Division A are scheduled for Saturday afternoon and evening with start times of 18:30 and 19:00.

In Division B the one club that has assured themselves not only a spot in the postseason, but also home field advantage is Bussolengo. Bussolengo has yet to loss a game this season, making them the favorites heading into the 2014 playoffs out of the division. Behind Bussolengo there are currently three clubs that are fighting for that last postseason spot, Forini Forlí (11-5), Caserta (9-5) and Labadini Collecchio (11-7). All three of the teams will be locked up in a tough two game series on Saturday, as Labadini Collecchio welcomes in Fiorini Forlí for two, and Caserta will play host to the currently undefeated Bussolengo girls. Lastly in the division Dino Bigiioni Unione Fermana will look to pick up their first ‘W’ of the season when they take on the ISL’s newcomer, Taurus Parma. Collecchio and Forlí will be on the field at 18:30 and 21:00 as will Caserta and Bussolengo, while the series between Unione Fermana and Parma will get underway at 17:30 and 30 minutes after the conclusion of game 1.
