The Italian Pro Series between the softball Italian National Team and the professional Florida Pride headed to Parma for the second game Tuesday night, but halfway through the fifth inning with the score tied 3-3 heavy rain suspended the game, disappointing fans and players.

Italy took a 2-0 lead in the first inning on RBI hits by Eva Trevisan and a double steal.  The Pride immediately tied the score in the bottom of the inning on a two-run single by Gionna Di Salvatore.

In the third inning Chamberlain drove in Pendley for a 3-2 lead for the Americans, while Italy jumped back the following inning to tie it again as Eva Trevisan doubled and scored on a wild pitch.

With the emotional game once again tied and the fans ready for another exciting finish, the weather intervened, and a heavy downpour suspended the game, and pushed things to game 3 Wednesday night again in Parma.  That 7pm game will be preceded by a 3:30pm softball clinic open to all athletes and coaches in the area.
