Team Italy U15 squad wins 16-12 extra-inning Youth Rotterdam Baseball Week game against Dutch U16 squad

Team Italy played with heart against an older Kingdom of the Netherlands U16 squad during Youth Rotterdam Baseball Week at the Neptunus Sports Complex on Thursday, July 11, 2024. The Italians came from behind throughout the contest and tied the game 12-12 in the seventh inning. The Azzurri U15 squad added four runs to win 16-2 in eight innings.

Team Italy played catch-up ball throughout the contest having given up seven runs in the bottom of the first inning to the Dutch. But little by little the Italians kept grinding to even the score at the end of regulation. In the end, the Azzurri picked up their first Youth Rotterdam Baseball Week win with a miraculous 16-12 extra-inning victory over the Kingdom of the Netherlands U16 team.

The Italians return for another game at 7 pm (local time) against the Germany U15 team.
