The Manager of the Italian National Baseball team, Marco Mazzieri, has selected his roster for the 2014 All Star Game where his club will face off with the best of the Italian Baseball League on the 11th of July down in Nettuno. Mazzieri’s team will be on the field beginning the 9th where they will participate in a series of practices. This encounter is just one of the stepping stones towards the 2014 European Championship tournament, which is scheduled to take place in September in Germany and the Czech Republic.
A total of 25 athletes have been selected for the All Star Game of which includes 10 pitchers, 2 catchers, 8 infielders, and 5 outfielders.
Pitchers: Luca Panerati and Filippo Crepaldi (UnipolSai Bologna), Valerio Simone, Nicholas Morreale, Giovanni D’Amico, and Carlos Teran (T&A San Marino), Josè Escalona (Rimini), Frailyn Florian (Città di Nettuno), Carlos Richetti (Nettuno2), Yomel Rivera (Lino’s Coffee Parma).
Catchers: Mattia Reginato (T&A San Marino), Marco Sabbatani (UnipolSai Bologna).
Infielders: Alex Sambucci and Renato Imperiali (Lino’s Coffee Parma), Gabriele Ermini (Enegan Grosseto), Jairo Ramos (T&A San Marino), Alessandro Vaglio and Juan Carlos Infante (UnipoSai Bologna), Giuseppe Mazzanti (Rimini), Erik Epifano (Tommasin Padova).
Outfielders: Paolino Ambrosino (UnipoSai Bologna), Stefano Desimoni (Lino’s Coffee Parma), Leonardo Zileri (Rimini), Ennio Retrosi (Città di Nettuno), Paul Macaluso (T&A San Marino).
