Team Italy manager Enrico Obletter has announced 14 of the 17 roster spots for his squad's appearance in the upcoming WBSC Women’s Softball World Championship, which takes place in Chiba, Japan from August 2-12, 2018. Italian skipper Enrico Obletter will be joined by coaches Federico Pizzolini and Lisa Banse Birocci, athletic trainers Ulises Hernandez and Elio Paolini, physician Gaetano Schiavottiello, and delegation team manager Roberta Soldi.
In preparation for the WBSC Women’s Softball World Championship, Team Italy players will gather in Redipuglia and begin practice on July 12. At the conclusion of the in Staranzano on July 21, three additional Team Italy players will be added to complete the roster for the WBSC Women’s Softball World Championship in Japan.
