Team Italy U12 celebrationAzzurrini manager Stefano Burato would like nothing more than turning the tables on the Netherlands in the Juveniles U12 European Baseball Championship title game in Trebic, Czech Republic on July 6, 2019 at 5 pm (local time). Having lost to the Euro rival by a score of 17-11 two days prior in the international competition, Team Italy (3-1) now seeks revenge and looks to win its third consecutive U12 European Baseball Championship title with a victory against the undefeated Dutch.

Pitching has been strong for the Italian team as starter Daniele Di Persia has won two games over France and Czech Republic while reliever Patrik Silva has picked up a win in the contest against Belgium. The Azzurrini offense has been explosive during the six-day tournament. Blasting by Belgium 14-4 on July 2, Team Italy returned the following day to roll over France 13-2 before suffering the crushing blow by the Netherlands. The Azzurrini squad rallied back with a 2-1 win over the Czech Republic in the semifinal on July 5 to earn the right to play the Netherlands for the 2019 U12 European Baseball Championship title.
