Team Italy holds training camp in Bologna prior to Baseball Series in Spain

Team Italy manager Gilberto “Gibo” Gerali will round up 27 of his best Azzurri players in Bologna on August 30, 2019 for two days of training and conditioning before competing in the Italy-Spain Baseball Series, which takes place at CBS Sant Boi and CB Viladecans ballparks in Barcelona, Spain from September 1-4, 2019

i manager Candelario Diaz e Gilberto Gerali al saluto (ML Oldman)Team Italy manager Gilberto “Gibo” Gerali will round up 27 of his best Azzurri players in Bologna on August 30, 2019 for two days of training and conditioning before competing in the Italy-Spain Baseball Series, which takes place at CBS Sant Boi and CB Viladecans ballparks in Barcelona, Spain from September 1-4, 2019. The four-day tournament against Spain allows Italian skipper Gibo Gerali to get a final look at the squad in action before narrowing down the roster for the European Baseball Championship in Bonn, Germany from September September 7-15 and the Europe/Africa Olympic Baseball Qualifier in Bologna/Parma, Italy from September 18-22. 

Team Italy manager Gibo Gerali will be assisted by pitching coach Rolando Cretis, coaches Dennis Cook, Gianmario Costa, and Augusto Medina as well as mental coach Rafael Colon and athletic trainer Gianni Natale. The team medical staff will be made up of Dr. Michele Reboli and physiotherapist Massimo Baldi. Federal Councilor Gigi Mignola will accompany the squad as the delegation team manager.
