The Azzurri offensive frenzy was fueled by outstanding hitting performances from Daniele Di Monte (3-for-5, 3 RBI), Alex Serdà (3-for-4, 2 RBI), and Riccardo Bertossi (3-for-5, 1 RBI).

Second in Group A behind host Czech Republic (3-0), Team Italy (1-2) advances to the playoffs and faces the winner of the Russia and 3n2 International Stars game on June 29 at 11 am (EDT). The playoffs continue through June 30. Prague Baseball Week is the final tune up for Team Italy in preparation for the U18 European Championship, which takes place in Grosseto from July 9-15, 2018.
