Team Italy softball manager Enrico Obletter announces roster for USSSA European Pro Series

Team Italy Women's Softball manager Enrico Obletter recently ventured down under to Sydney, Australia with his U19 squad to compete against the game's elite in the 2018 Asia Pacific Cup

Team Italy Women's Softball manager Enrico Obletter recently ventured down under to Sydney, Australia with his U19 squad to compete against the game's elite in the 2018 Asia Pacific Cup. Now the Italian National Team travels to nearby Caronno, just northwest of Milan, and plays host to the USSSA Pride, one of the premier teams in National Pro Fastpitch (NPF, the professional league of women’s fastpitch softball in the USA), for two games April 25-26, 2018. USSSA PrideThe USSSA Pride will tour Italy and other European countries as a result an agreement between the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) and the United States Specialty Sport Association (USSSA). The USSSA European Pro Series includes USSSA Pride exhibition games against the National Teams of three European powerhouses: Italy, Czech Republic, and the Netherlands. The tour concludes in France, where the USSSA Pride will hold a clinic at the French Softball Academy in Boulouris, Côte d’Azur.

20160924 Valeria Bortolomai, Bussolengo triplo gara 3 ISS (DFP)Having brought the U19 Juniors together with the Senior players at Team Italy Softball Spring Training in Pescara last month, manager Enrico Obletter had the opportunity to synergize the squad in preparation for the USSSA European Pro Series. In addition to many of the players returning from the 2018 Asia Pacific Cup, catcher Valeria Bortolomai, pitcher Alice Ronchetti, and infielder Lara Cecchetti give Team Italy even more depth for the games against the USSSA Pride. Listed below is the compete roster:
